Ok so here is the deal. I bought my Blazer and it came with a Kenwood CD player that is probably almost as old as the truck. The laser is dying and it skips all the time. I was wondering what FACTORY cd players would work on these trucks? I hate the radio jutting out like it does and I would like to be able to dim the radio along with the rest of the dash. In Jeeps at least (my former truck, worst mistake ever), you could slap any crysler CD player in from any car that had the same size. What ones will work with the Blazers?

Well, 95 through 99 wil fit perfectly. but, if you get the right dash kit, the new cd player barely sticks out at all.

 

Cool good to know. I have seen the kits that make it a little more flsuh but I really hate not being able to dim my radio tho. I am on dark streches of highway a lot of it's nice to have everything dimmed out... but then the CD player is obnoxious. Does anyone know a non factory one that dims with the dash?? That would be ideal for sure.

 

well, most aftermarket radios have a dimmer wire that gets hooked up wo dimmer wire in car. know Pioneer and JVC has this wire
