sub box
Not all subs are created equal. Some are better for larger enclosures while others are suited for smaller. What sub are you using and with how much power. Also, what kind of music will you primarily be listening to? Do you like punchy bass or low bellowing bass?
You need to know the specific air space required for your sub, to work most efficiently. Airspace can be the biggest differnce of a great sounding sub or not (regardless of $$). Most subs come with full specs or if your getting a used one check the manufacturers web site (usually there, as well). Then decide type of box you would like to build i.e., posrted, sealed, or bandpass.
