Wrong. There is no need to open a window when you play your system.just take care of the rattles the right way...

No no. I agree opening a door, window, or hatch makes a load of diffirence in certain aspects. Thats how we get those nice numbers in the kick :-)...What I was trying to say is that it is the wrong way to eliminate rattles...

ok i wasn't sure which way you were going w/ that. i agree thats the wrong way to stop rattling. i used the dynomat extreme on my tailgate, side panals in the cargo area and the roof and i dont have a problem with rattling in the rear except the window squeaks but no real fix to that i dont think. my overhead console still makes noise and door ***** a lil bit but its not like some cars where all you hear is rattling body parts and no bass i hate that

beacuse low frequencies aredirectional, a sub enclosure can go in any place in the car. they will not sound signifgantly differnt from any place in the car. put them where you have room. mine are in the back. aimed backward. sound sick. still gotta work on the rattle from teh outside though.

Not true, and I have done the testing to prove it. two ways will be louder in majority of blazers.
My test vehicles were a 92 2dr, a 96 4dr and a 97 2dr.
With the exact same power, and exact same sized enclosure, exact same tuning freq, Subs up port firing backwards and subs up port firing towards pass side rear were louder on the termlab meter.
Positions tested - subs up port up, subs rear port rear, subs front port front, subs up port to pass side, subs up to drivers side. I went through all of the possible combinations and those two were louder in each truck.

Generally in hatchbacks and SUV's the loudest setup is sub up port back. I've always had the best SPL results this way...
