Im planning on some construction this weekend. it involves a new amp rack, some rewiring, and the builing of a center console piece. I will get pics later but what are you all planning? Anything good?

I'm beginning a project that I'm not sure how long it's going to take, but I want to do it right so I guess it doesn't matter how long it takes! Me and my brother are going to take out the back seat and speaker box, and lay down a MDF platform and cover it with black carpet. It will stretch from the tailgate and slope down behind the front seats. Then we are going to mount my two new speaker boxes to the sides of the rear cargo area and build a fiberglass skin to cover them. Next we will build a thin box with a retractable lid to store a 20 inch flat screen tv (of which is currently in use in my bedroom) and mount it right in the center a foot or so behind the subs. They are relatively inexpensive it was like $250. We will also build a fiberglass skin for the tv box. The whole project so far has only cost me about $700 and with the experience my brother has working with these materials and having his own shop I'm saving alot in labor cost. Not sure when it's gonna be done, but I'll post pics of the progress.

XTucking22s had something like that.

Be careful with that TV right by the subs tho.

I'm not positive but those magnets/vibrations might do something to it [>:]

Yeah, my brother was saying something about the vibration thing. He was thinking more of right behind the front seats for the tv. I'm still doing a little research on it, to see if it will have any effect. It will be quite a while until we put the tv in so we got time to figure it out.

yea, would rethink location on TV, In my car bay, I have a CCTV system and when my bass hits, the screen goes crazy. makes it hard to see if people are pushing buttons and messing with stuff they aren't supposed to,
