OK ... not too many glitches, should buff out nicely.
Now we can get the rest of it back together.

OK now it looks real ... hanging the panels ... still haven't aligned them ...aftermarket sheet metal has its challenges.

Just in the last few months LMC strarted carrying new grills. I spent a few hours trying to fix up the old one and wasn't happy so this is nice last minute surprise ... only $134.

I probably will never piecemeal the paint job again ..... got into some noticeable color variations and will have to reshoot the copper color on the passenger door.

That is going to look awesome when it's done! I agree about the aftermarket panels. They are a challenge.

Aussie Bull Bar ... bought it back in the 80's.
Looks like I'll be able to bring it back to life with some serious polishing.
Its taken a lot of hits but it can be filed and polished up.

Finally got the hood painted, and started some buffing.
There will be lots of buffing of the DIY paint job. :-)
Had to get some new hinge pins ... I couldn't figure out why the dang doors wouldn't stay lined up .... duh.

Window assemblies reinstalled .... got a little dicey on the passsenger side as the bolt holes in the sheet metal got a bit cattywampus.
Even a minor change in geometry screws up the window operation.....
Painted up the old Kayline soft top hardware, and rebuilt the side rails out of aluminum square tube ... they polished up pretty nice.

Buffing the new paint .... it ain't going well ... going have to add some clear coats.
On the bigass hood spraying all that flake is challenging.
Just enough inconsistency to need another color coat. And more clear.
And more color sanding. At $400 a gallon that's painful. But you know you gotta pay to play.
