Thanks for allowing me into your group. I'm an International Scout enthusiast and currently doing a chassis swap on my Scout 800 with a 1996 S10 Blazer. When I got my Blazer the rear drive shaft was broken so I've been trying to find a replacement. Unfortunately, the Blazer did not come with a title so no VIN. From what I was told it's a 1996 Chevy S10 Blazer 4.3L Vortec 2 DOOR, 4X4, AUTOMATIC. For the life of me I can not find the rear drive shaft for this specific Blazer. Most of the ones I keep finding are manual or for a 4 door. The one that's busted measured from tip to tip at 33" inches. I'ved checked Rockauto, Jeggs, Ebay, Amazon, I even ordered one from A-Premium only to realize I ordered a manual trans one which measured 36" and was to long. I have one ordered through LKQ and once it arrives I'll measure it so we'll see but in the meantime, 33" FROM TIP TO TIP 1967 IH SCOUT 800 sitting on a 1996 S10 Blazer 2 door, 4x4, automatic frame.
i wanted to keep hunting just in case I didn't order the right one.....again.
Am I hunting for something that doesn't even exist? Can you guys offer any guidance on this?
Why not take the one you have to a driveshaft shop and have it repaired?
I took your advice. Miraculously there is a drive train builder right up the road from me. I took the shaft and he's going to rebuild it. It never occurred to me to do that. Thank you so much.
Looking to convert a scout 800 to a 2 wheel drive s10 frame. Any advice will be appreciated.

I’d consider going to junk yard and get a ZR2 driveshaft .
Nice project. I’m personally in a 4door blazer ZR2 build. I’m using a ZR2 pickup driveshaft which is aluminum and going to have a driveshaft shop cut it to length of my 4door shaft . This will improve fuel economy and performance as its way lighter then my current driveshaft and it’s a bit longer.

Nice project, I’m in a 4 door ZR2 build currently. Here’s a thought.
have you considered going to junkyard. I’m going to have a zR2 pickup driveshaft made to fit my ZR2 4 door build I’m working on. Better fuel economy and performance from the drastic rotational mass being reduced by the lightweight aluminum that will be turning instead of heavy steel. I have not confirmed fitment at this time which I will do before I have it made, but I don’t see it being an issue.
