Today is LEG DAY!

Just finishing up the lift and steering coupler/u-joint swap, however I'm waiting on new shocks (longer up front) so it isn't actually 100% yet. Once I've confirmed Rancho's recommendation fits and performs properly I'll share the part numbers I used. Pics and lift component details soon.

Been a while since I've updated.

The lift was a success. I used ebay keys, shock extensions,, and shackles. I combined those with the Rough Country front diff drop bracket. Then to combat the bad ball joint angle we did an upper ball joint flip and mounted them under the control arm. Combined with Rancho shocks (3" longer in the front) and we've got a truck that rides better than stock, aligned perfectly, and handles as well as it did before the lift.

Tires are 30x9.50R15 Falken Wildpeak AT3W

Put the G80 to work this past weekend driving up to Smith Peak outside Portola, CA. Actually it only locked once when I was pulling over to let someone pass and drove up a large mound. The ride is great on and off road. The road we drove was mostly well graded but the last half mile was rocky and rough. Nothing difficult just slow going. I'm really glad we chose this thing to keep as a bugout vehicle for the cabin.

Nice looking Blazer you have. The contrast between the white on the body and black bumpers and grill looks great.
