lol put very well, the 5.3 will be worth the effort!!! We just spent the last month getting the 5.3 truck harness to tap into the LT1 harness and its been a pain so, I will be doing a stand alone system. Im going to attempt to make a board so I can build another if we do another 5.3 swap.

I'd love to do a standalone system just to say I did. A friend of mine had a Honda Civic hatch with a turbo B-16 on a standalone he kept as a daily driver. I can't for the life of me remember the manufacturer, but it had multiple programs (street/strip/road) it could run and switch on the fly with a dial on the dash. Even adjusted blow-off valve and waste gate.
Although honestly I'd rather have an old 5.7l with a Rochester Q-jet for the simplicity of it. IMO, efficiency doesn't offset maintenance costs or the added diagnostic difficulties.
