When the trucks front front gets weight lifted from it, the cv axles start to bind from the angle. Which happened before when my front end was torsioned all the way. So I mentioned about backing it off a little, which he did, but still happened, so he wants to look into a little more tomorrow. I really don't mind because his price is easily the best I'll ever find, and he does a little extra at no charge, so it's above and beyond reasonable...
Will update all threads necessary when I receive the blazer
I love my 3.73 gearing I’m running 33s now and it’s not that bad with the 3.73. Now my question is what u-joint did u use for the zr2 rear diff and where can I get it
Yes the 33s would drop me to 3.26:1 but it doesn’t feel that bad and still seems to have some power. All the zr2 over ever seen have the 3.73:1 with 31s stock
What I don’t understand is if I put the same 33s on a zr2 it’s effective gearing would be 3.5:1 since they are stock 3.73:1 with 31s stock. That’s the only reason I didn’t think the 33s would be that bad
I lucked out when I found this axle and it came with the longer yoke. If you look at my axle swap thread, you can see it on the axle when it's not installed.
I got my axle from a zr2 pickup. That might be where to look... I'll get a picture of it today at work sometime
[QUOTE=christine_208;736161]3.73 gears on 33 inch tires? I'd think you'd want 4.11 gears. Also, didn't ZR2s only come with 4.11s?........
I think in one of the axle threads on here not sure if it was put on mine or another, that the 2wd 5 speed came with a 4.11 gear ratio option but none of the other models did...
