I took the truck for a ride and at the gas station I had a nice puddle of tranny fluid under my truck...
Well it leaked from the transfer case switch... IM just about done with this switch bull ****. Im hooking my front diffy to a switch with an vac solenoid and thats about it.

While fixing the leak I did a fluid change on the tcase and took it for a test drive... No leaks so far
This is how I fixed the leak for now...

I need to replace the part I used rtv on.

On a side note I pulled the lines into the engine bay for the vac solenoid and hooked them together to try the 4wd. Now I have a bolt in the vac line portion so it dont leak and cause the truck to run bad.

Yea We are currently working out a deal.

Went food shopping today blazer ran Great. The connector on the vac switch sweated a little but No leaks...
Im happy till I get the parts to fix it.

SO last night I started making the Hole cover / Shift boot... I made a lock ring out of diamond plate.



I had some old leather sitting around but then I decided it was to hard to make one with leather because of the Positions on the tcase.

SO I got some rubber and cut a nice slim hole in the center.


I messed up on screw placement but it still looks good... I like it. Just hope it works just as well as I thought.

 

Installed the shift boot and it works really well . There is finger prints on it since it was not 100 % dry but it was so worth it....





Ill repaint it tomorrow.
