the antenna I bought came with a "mirror mount" more for trucks with the tube mirrors. It was supposed to clamp to the mirror but I took the one side off and used self tapping screws into the mirror. They actually hold up pretty good. too bad I broke my antenna months ago...

Thats what I was thinking, because it looked just slammed on there... Thanks, And the running the wires doesnt bother me, apparently my dad was into cb back in the day... (father son bonding soon?) so It should be fun... But I am looking at Running dual antennas (dont search, I know its bad) on these mounts right above the tail lights with 4-5 foot antennas, maybe with springs....

Is it the antenna problem? Might get a spring bottom? or a more flexible antenna?

so now that my inspection is dealt with I can start thinking about modifications again (legal ones this time...) I'll be saving up for this new puppy should increase my off roading capabilities by a lot.

Also I'm thinking about changing my gears to 4.10 or 4.11 because I'm getting horrible gas millage. my average is normally 12-14 mpg and I only get a little more than 200 miles off of a tank and I'll be going back to school here in the next month and back to 50 miles a day so... that is a lot of gas. I'm not really sure about how I need to go about changing my gears any suggestions?

The Powertrax will be my next major upgrade, its just going to take a while for $$. If you are going to change the gears are you doing it at the same time as the locker? You don't have to remove the gears to install it. Good Luck with it.

I'm probably just going to get the powertrax for now. The gearing change seems like a fairly big project that I probably won't get done by September. I think I'm going to spend the extra $100 on the no slip rather than buying the cheaper lock right I do a lot of on road driving and I like to have a nice ride and it seems worth it to spend the extra hundred for a good ride and off road performance. I mean I'd like to get some eaton electronic lockers.... but thats not anywhere in my price range
