The engine is out, the front clip is out and I will be installing the engine and transmission as a unit. 1. Do i install the main wiring harness before or after the engine installation. (I am leaning to after to keep the area clear of entanglements) 2. I am planning also to have the Y-Pipe mounted to the exhaust manifolds.. (Are there any clearance issues that I do not know of). 3. Do I mount the transmission mount to the crossmember or after the engine is in position.. I am close to finishing up all the items on the firewall. This is on my 89 S15 Jimmy, 4,3L. 2 DR, 2WD.Auto.

Any tips on mounting the engine to the transmission? My plan is to use engine hoist to hold the engine and my transmission jack to raise the transmission to line up the bell housing bolts.

I could also set the transmission on a table or a pair of Saw Horses.
