German 98 Blazer build
#301
Flowing a gas (air or refrigerant) is different than flowing a semi-viscous fluid like ATF. If the passages are considerably smaller than that found in a purpose built transmission cooler, it can lead to more restriction. Obviously, if there are a lot more of those passages, it will cut down on the flow rate through each passage thereby reducing the restriction (friction loss), but still, it's something to be aware of.

I had coolant coming out from the dash from above the passenger footwell and steam coming out of the vents this morning. I think it's time to have a look at the heater core...
I really think my Blazer hates me. Everything was fine and now everything brakes down...

We have an upcoming trip the next month, so i started with a bit more expedition things...
My heater core "fix":
Had some PVC floor left from our house, so i thought why not to use it? Then i made a slide for my cooler:
Then i started organizing my pile of recovery gear:
Finished:
Also did some testing for hot water for the shower, but didn`t get the result i wanted...

Started with my laptop mount today...
Driver and passenger legs. Driver side was a bit tricky...
Tacked together:
In the car:
Added a bar to the dashboard:
Start of the laptop mount:
Connected:
Almost finished:
Added some edge protection:
Finished:
My command center. Another gps unit is still missing...
Here you can see how close everything is on the driver side mount:
I`m really happy how it turned out. The mount doesn`t block the sight or hinder with anything in the cab...

Mounted some LED fogs for campsite lightning today:
Switch:
On:
After that pic i flipped the mounts to make it look better:
These lights are pretty bright and only draw about 60mA each...
Also made a mount for the showerhead:
Plenty of hose left:
