Well, as is evidenced by my lack of updates on this thread, I haven't gotten much done. I am really hoping to complete a few projects this summer, and have a couple of things set aside as surprises that I'll use when I get them on the truck. I did however finally get started on painting/undercoating the frame yesterday. Here's how it sits this morning:

You'll have to forgive the crooked cellphone picture. I was late for work and snapped it as I was walking away. My signature has a photo in the same spot before I painted the frame, so you can see before/after.

Looks like Princess Auto...
So far it's the bane of my existence. I can never walk in there and buy just what I went in there for. Your build looks pretty good. Makes me want to really get the fire rolling on mine.

It's not Princess Auto, although I visit it way too much too.

Well, I've been saving my 1000th post hoping to have a great update for my build. I have 2 fun things on the go and a few minor ones, but there's been a series of hangups and difficulty finding the little parts to make the important parts work, as well as a general shortage of funds. My work moved me downtown temporarily to act as mentor for some new employees, which added another 30 minutes to my commute, and that coupled with a fair bit of overtime means that I just haven't gotten very much progress on my projects. Yes, yes. I would like some cheese to go with my wine.
Anywho since I don't have the projects completed I've decided to just go with a teaser of my find, and I'll post up my progress when I get things on the truck. I have been super jealous of the members on here who have 4 door Blazers and have fender flares. I've been wanting to put flares on my Blazer since I bought it in 2008, but I've either not had the funds, or at times when I could have done it I couldn't find any available. Finally a couple weeks ago my brother put me in contact with a guy who was selling a set of fender flares! The fronts are brand new Bushwhacker flares, and the rears are off a ZR2 Sonoma, and I picked up the set of 4 flares for... wait for it... $150! I will freely admit that I did a little girl squee when I picked them up.
So, since
here's a couple pictures of test-fitting:

Things are not completely perfect however. The fronts do not have the rubber trim that goes between the flare and the fender, and the while the rears do, the trim is red. I also only got one of the mounting brackets for the rears, so I'll have to use a different mounting method than Warthogdriver. I've found that Bushwhacker does sell the rubber trim so now I'm just trying to find a Canadian supplier that has reasonable prices. I'm going to be pulling heavily from Warthogdriver's writeup on his ZR2 flares for information on getting mine mounted. For the rears I will definitely be following his lead and just making a vertical cut along the door line, rather than trying to follow the curve.
I have my plan, and most of the necessary materials to get them mounted up, I just need a couple more things, and then I need some time.
Whelp, that's my update and 1000th post on the forum.

I hate you!!! Just kidding
I may have found a set myself though. I am about to call the guy now. The only problem is that he is a 2.5 hour drive each way from me. If the price is right the road trip is on!! Oh wait I can't go anywhere till at least the 29th. I've got a much longer road trip next week for vaca about 2400 miles rnd trip. Please please please take lots of pics when you do this so I can pull from you and warthog when I do mine.

No worries Rex about the hate. I had the same feeling every time I looked at Warthogdriver's Blazer or Diaita's. You've already done almost every other mod that I want to do on my truck. I'm just way slower than you at getting things done. I do have another mod in the works that I don't believe you've done yet though... No hints on that one until its done!
