Let’s put a 5.3 in it
Oil pressure bypass would be my guess on no fuel prime. Delt with that ages ago on a firebird that had a tbi 4 banger originally that I put a v8 in. Traced wires for days, then wired ahot key on straight to the fuel pump. Worked great for a few days lol. Ended up doing an external pump also.
I’m out of money. Lol not really but yeah. Ok so here is where I’m at. Steering is hitting the header. Gotta figure that out. Driveshaft appears to be to long. Truck sets real close to the ground so I’ve not climbed under to hook this up actually. Going to get it raised up today and take a look
Drive shaft is connected to transmission. I’ll show what I’m doing for the steering shaft tomorrow. Basically cutting shaft and milling down an insert to get the smaller diameter to clear header. Now back to the gosh dang wiring. And I still don’t have a book to pin out what is what. I’ll post a pic. I’m guessing I need to find out what this controlled
Looks great! It will be a blast once you get it done and get to rip around in it.
Looking at some pin outs it seems like some of the vital engine stuff runs through that C100 plug and may be the reason for fuel pump priming issues. Oil pressure sending unit, ignition voltage, ECM data, etc.
This may help you with the wiring harness pin outs.
