My small 96 Blazer build
Thanks El! I'm happy with then for flux welds.
Got the mount finished up today! I don't have it installed yet cause I'm making a longer handle for the free spool handle on the winch so I don't have to reach down behind the grill every time I use the winch. I'll get that finished tomorrow but here's pics for today.

I may add two more bolts but it's pretty sturdy now. And painted with the fairlead bolted on

That's all for today

This thread is a great, true "reality show".

Will you need to flare out or extend the wheel wells? Some states and areas can get real tough on tires that stick out wider than the wheel wells. Especially on a vehicle that stands out in a crowd.

In VA I can have 3" sticking out and I'm just under 4" so it's just out of legal. We have an annual safety inspection and from my experience and talking to people as long as your inspection sticker is good the coppers don't really mess with you. I see jeeps running around without any fenders all the time. My way around that is having a good friend that does the state inspections so I get my sticker every year without issue
. All that being said I do intend to put some zr2 flares on it as well which will bring me back within the law.

The inspection people up here in MA would just laugh if you pulled in there with that thing, lol - no chance in hell it would pass!
We used to get hassled by staties in my buddy's '83 Toyota pickup all the time - had at least 12" of lift in that thing. Had to lower it a few inches to just squeak by the rules. Still got pulled over everywhere though. Guess they don't want big 4x4's on the streets of MA - just BMW's and Mercedes ...
That's the difference between this communist state, and south of the Mason-Dixon - MUCH more freedom down south. Your lucky to live there, even if a small bit of communism is creeping in from D.C..
