Default Wow

I can't say anything but WOW!! I (over the past few nights) have read and watched the build from the beginning to current. All of the things you have done has been a learning experience and a amazing sight. To go from a "small build" to this MONSTER is outstanding. Sorry for all the kind of repeat phrases but I just can't get over it. GREAT JOB!

Thanks for the compliments!! It's come a long way with a long way to go

Got the motor tore down today. The inside looks awesome with nice even cross hatching in all of the cylinders. The heads look solid with no signs for concerns. I was going to have the bottom end cleaned and freshened up but I'm not sure it's really needed other than a good cleaning. I'm doing some reading on my heads and think I may stick with them and just do a good port and polish on them with new springs and push rods to match whatever cam I go with. I'll also do the trunion upgrade. On to the pics!
Working on getting it on the stand

Valley cover removed (the white crap fell in during removal)

Top of the heads

Bottom of the heads

Heads removed

Cross hatching

Pan removed

Bottom side

And how I finished for the day

I'm also picking up a 80mm cable tb next week for $25 and going to clean up the truck intake a bit and run that since it flows well and makes good torque.

Do the SAS first it makes the motor swap easier without having so many things in the way for oil pan clearance. But in any case JUST DO IT!!!!!

thats what I`m thinking, having all the parts motor and axles before starting. It`ll be a while though

Just do it all at once. RIP the engine and front end off, and rebuild from the ground up.
