My small 96 Blazer build
I got the two center lights properly wired up all purty like today and pulled the fuse on the the DRL's. I wired them to come on when I turn the truck on but I also threw a switch in there so that I can turn them off if I so choose.
Thanks bud!
I want to wire up the roof lights but I am going to wait till spring cause that is going to be a big project. I was going to reuse the wire I already had but it was only like 14-16 gauge and wasn't really sufficient for the three lights so I'm going to run 10 gauge up there this time. I'm also going to pull the factory roof rack off and put a proper grommet under it to run the wire through to the roof with disconnects right there so I can remove the Surco rack and lights by just unpluging the lights rather than having to cut wires. While I have that all apart I am also going to pull my sagging headliner down and use some longer bolts with steel "straps" on the inside of the cab and reinforce the roof rack rails so that they are a little sturdier. I already have one of the bolts that the tack weld on the nut came loose so its not holding much and another that is about to go so I'm gonna fix that. And then I'm going to redo the headliner so its not saggy anymore.

I really like the posi lock, you posted as well. My blazer was a wrecked vehicled, when i bought it, took a couple months to replace all the front sheet metal, and drove it around literally 4 different colors, before it warmed enough i could pull it in my garage and paint it. (that being said, the original servo under the batt tray, was damaged. this posi lock is a great option for a fix to me, Thanks so Much!! <<on a big time tight budget. Love your build!!
Its is still one of the best mods I feel I have done to date! It hasn't let me down once and If I ever wanted to return it to stock (which I will never do) I can without any issues. Not to mention I did it all for around if not less than the cost of the new vacuum servo
It is people like you, with your builds, and helpfulness, that makes me glad i finally decided (after over a year) to get a name and join the discussions. I like alot of the ideas you have, and you seem (like me) very detailed oriented. i spent 11 hours running all the wiring, (completely hidden), and hidden switches on my driving lights. all connections soldered, and heat shrinked. So if YOU say it works, i believe that IT WILL!
