My 4x4 had stopped working so I decided it was time to make a posi lock system for it. I won't make an entire how to thread but I did take pics along the way and will answer any questions I can. After reading a few threads on here and other forums this is what I was able to come up with. All together I have about $45 in this project. I'm very happy with the install and even happier that I won't have to worry about my 4x4 not working cause of some stupid little hose.

These are the parts I used

I ordered this locking cable Heavy-Duty T-Handle Locking Cables - 10 Feet*-*Buyers*RO9D3.5X10 because its heavy duty and blends in well rather than the silver cables I have seen. It was $24 shipped to my door and I ordered it on Thursday and it arrived on Saturday.

Here are a few photos of the process I used I'm not going to comment on all of them but if you have questions feel free to ask.

The install took about 2 hours start to finish and it works perfectly.

Next to come is Surco roof rack, and bedliner the rockers and bumpers.
I have a few questions on how this would work, as my 96 has the same problem. It has the three button electronic T-case with 2hi 4hi and 4low, my question on that is how would it be able to switch between 4low and 4hi with the manual pull cable? I'm looking to get this done by the weekend so I can follow my brother's Wrangler through some trails we found last weekend.

I know. I want to manually engage both the t-case and front diff using the manual cables, removing the 4WD vacuum lines altogether.

The tcase is electronically controlled so you just use the cable to engage the front diff and the buttons to engage the tcase. The best part is that you can now have 2lo as well. I have not had any issues with mine to date and I love it! Others have built a manual lever for the tcase but that's a whole nother subject and rather involved which I have not done yet so I really don't have any info about it. A few members have done it though so with a quick search you should be able to find some good info on it.

Well I played with my spare doors and have officially started my half door project So far all I have done is stripping the panel and guts including the window out of the drivers door and then I relocated the interior door handle so that it will still function but be out of the way since there won't be much door left when I'm finished! I need to pick up a few supplies before I can start the major surgery but I am happy with the progress so far. It's a bit slow going since I decided it would be a good idea to dislocate my finger yesterday and now the wife says I have to wear a splint stupid thing is always in the way!! Well here are some pics so far hopefully I can get some more done in the coming days.

Handle location before

Handle location after

The handle will be at the bottom of the door now and only open from the inside. I think it should work out pretty well.

Oh yeah? Cause every time I tried to use 4WD the light for it would come on and you would hear a loud clunk. And it will only stay in 4WD for a second before disengaging. Is that the front diff vacuum line acting up then? Also, how do I hook the cable to the front diff. Sorry for all the questions. I just want my Blazer to work properly.
