That's a very nice Blazer Rex. I really like all of your setups; front bumper with lights, blackenout grill, roof rack , sliders, tire carrier.. I'm amazed. I'll probably copy some of your ideas :-)
Thanks so much for the write-up..
* this is my first post ever :-)

mine is a 1999, with new style grill and narrow headlamps and separate turn signals. I've only owned it for two years now. in the last couple months I'm really wanting to change the front with the old style like yours, with big square one piece head lamps with integrated turn signals. do you know anything about such a mod?
sorry for the newbie questions the semi hijack...

Rex, I've only read the first 19 pages and the last 10 pages (more or less) of this awesome thread of yours (haven't got the time to read the whole). I read some about the sliders but not until the completion. how did you attach them to the frame?

Thanks voyager! I haven't finished the sliders yet. I have been way to busy with work and vacation and its been wayyyy to hot to do any real work especially grinding and welding. Hopefully I can get some more done in the coming weeks but we will see.

I suppose this is a bit of a mod but certainly a necessity!! I decided it was time to fix my horribly sagging headliner. Since the current one has a burn hole in it from the PO I wanted to recover it completly rather than just throwin some glue and sticking it back up.
Before

I'm glad I pulled it completly cause in doing so I learned that my sunroof was an afterthought and not factory. That probably explains why it works when it wants to. It likes to not close after its opened which I found out during a horrible rain storm so now I don't open it anymore! Well while installing it they cut out the roof brace which may explain why even after doing pins & bushings my doors have still never been straight. Whatever nothing I can do about it I still love my blazer On with more pics!
Removed and covered on glue and god knows what else! You can see the lovely hack job they did on the factory headliner to fit the sunroof. This was covered by another piece of fabric and was all hidden by sag!

All cleaned up

Here it is covered. Don't mind the wrinkles and crap those will be taken care of during final install(I hope!)

And here's where I'm at for today

I've still got a lot to do as far as cutting out the sunroof hole and rear overhead consul hole and the glueing crap to the roof since that's my only option. Hopefully I can make it look decent if not I think I'll hit up a PNP and grab an unmolested headliner and start over. I like that its lighter in color than the rest I think it makes it seem like a larger interior.

I like the lighter color too Rex. I think it makes it seem brighter inside, especially with the dark seats and interior.

Yeah I'm liking the two tone interiors in most of the newer vehicles so now I have it in my blazer. Perhaps I can find some other pieces to cover to add to the two tone but without overdoing it and making it look cheesy. I'll try and get a better pic of the material it's super thick and heavy I like it a lot but its hard to work over tight corners but that's ok with me.

Thanks Rich!

Well my new lights came back from Summit today so I took a couple min and bolted them on

This was in between helping my boss get his bike running. Its a 08' with only 407 miles on it!! He bought it brand new and never rode it at all. It has sat in my warehouse for so long that the battery has taken a crap so I pulled it and we are getting a new one right now. He is selling it and I am thinking about buying it but I think my wife would get "upset" if I did lol. I'm still going to talk to her cause $5k for a brand new bike is a steal!!
