My small 96 Blazer build

I didn't even know you could get a manual shift for the 95-97! That would have made my life a lot easier instead of using my NP233. I have a t/c already, but haven't seen a console for a Blazer. Is there a particular model that come with them?

Forgot that the S trucks would have a console too... I should have done some research before I did all the work I guess.

Rex hurry up and get this done! I'm dying to do mine!! Just replaced my engine, rebuilt tranny. All I need now is a solid front and maybe in a few years I'll slap a v8 in there as soon as you do it so I've got good groundwork to follow!

Yeah those center consoles are hard to find, way to luck out.... I don't like you anymore :P
Not sure what I'm going to do if I can't find a console when the time comes. maybe do some fiberglass or something.

Keep the NP233C. I'm still running mine, with push-putton, and it works great. I like old school is why I would like a NP231C.

I already have the 231, and it's the HD version. With the abuse it's going to get there's no way I'm not putting it in.

I would never get rid of a functioning NP233... i love my buttons! lol
Just swap in the 1.25" chain and a 6 pinion planetary if you want more strength.

I like the buttons too KM346, but I'm worried if I keep submerging it, the actuator motor will eventually fail. With a lever it may let water in, but I can still get home.
I don't think a NP231HD won't bolt into a Blazer(it's a Dodge T/C IIR), they have a 6-bolt flange. You can pull the parts from a NP231HD and install them into a NP231C or NP 233C.
The stock NP233C in my '96 Blazer has a 6 pinion planetary and 1.25 chain. The '94 NP231C I pulled the front output shaft from also had the 1.25 chain, but only a 3 pinion planetary.

Rex I have a question. I got a manual actuator with my lift kit and I have a similar setup to your soon to be former setup for your front axle actuator. I looks like this
I have to continuously have to pull up on it for it to engage and when it does it makes a loud bang and it jerks a little. I'm wondering how I could adjust it down at the front differential. Thanks in advance and Happy Turkey day!
