yeah i could have been a lot worse.

Its a tight fit but it fits. lol i have plenty of room around the front diff but my diff is lowered with the lift kit. Not sure how it would clear on a stock blazer.

I am now having problems with it running. When i unloaded it from the trailer sunday it had a misfire. I just parked it in the garage and figured i would mess with it later. Found out monday that a plug wire fell off. I put it back on and now i cant get it to start. Pulled the plugs and found them soaked in gas. Cleaned them up and tried it. Still nothing. Tested for spark and that is good. Kept trying it and it still wont fire. Pulled the plugs again to find the soaked in gas again. So i pulled the upper intake thinking i have an internal fuel leak. Nope, everything is fine. I have no idea why it all of a sudden wont start. Probably wont get back to it for a while as im leaving for florida on friday for spring break.

Up untill last night i havent touched it in about a month. Just been to busy with my new job and a few other things. I though it was a pcm issue but now im thinking its a power issue. I know the battery in it isnt the greatest. I noticed last night that when trying to start the voltage was dropping below 10v which isnt enough for the coil to make a good spark. So tonight i plan on swapping the good battery out of my silverado and trying that. I will post up my results later tonight.

still no luck. got good spark, and plenty of fuel. to much fuel it seems. After it turning over for about 15sec its flooded and i gotta pull out the plugs and clean them. Checked for power and ground at pcm and that checked out ok. I loaded it up on the trailer tonight and will be bringing it in to the dealer wed. night to have a few of the guys there help me with it. Since i dont know what else to check.

Did you do the mfi conversion when you redid the motor? if not sfi maybe poppets sticking open. check make sure timing didnt jump. plugs will still fire, obviously not at the right time. gear on the distributor are really weak on these style motors.

Id recheck wiring also considering the new swap. might be far fetched but maybe pinched fuel return line, think that boosts the fuel pressure. hope you get it figured out.
