It goes in friday for a damage estimate. In the mean time I need to fix my block heater that conveniently stopped working now that it's -34C.

Well apparently I'm getting screwed over this whole ordeal. I am being put at fault for the accident. I was on the main road, and she was coming out of a parking lot, but apparently that whole area is private property, so every intersection is right-of-way only. Since she was on my right I'm at fault. I can honestly tell you that NO one drives that road like an intersection, everyone yeilds to the main road, which I was on.

So I owe money for my deductible, and lose 6 points off my insurance, aka 6 years of perfect driving. I'm now at -4.

All that, and the damage was estimated at $4,700. Unbelievable for a dent, hood and bumper.

Also my bushguard was apparently a factory option, and isn't available anymore, so I have to get an aftermarket one that is worth around $250 less. They want to replace my headlight, which I had to paint and was a pain. Also want to replace my signal, which is a clear tinted one. I didn't tint it, and I'm not experienced to do it to the replacement.

A whole lot of pain in the ***.

That is a pain in the ***. It seems like insurance companies are out to get the Blazer drivers.

from experience......fight it. and make sure you get a good lawyer right away.

also, make sure you keep a close watch on your insurance company. not sure if you're paying monthly or the whole year @ once, but i've seen them raise my rate before the ticket even finished in court.

i didn't care if it took over 2 years to get tossed. it was like being taken @ fault with no proof.

I would fight it, because anyone coming out of a parking lot should be yielding to the main road, private property or not

I'm thinking either fight it or take the building company that owns the land to court for having no signs stating what kind of intersection it is, whether I'm on a street or not, or who has the right of way.
