was that the damage from the deer? i know we've discaussed the accident before this, but, it makes you wonder how the hell they can write off the truck, when the damage doesn't look that bad.

as for the possibility of Bondo being in there, i've seen vehicles come from the factory with line damage being repaired and re-sprayed. plus, it could have happened after it left the factory, but before being sold. you wouldn't believe the s**t that happens to vehicles before we buy them!

but since you said the Shroud had zip ties on it as well, one of the previous owners probably clipped something (another deer maybe? *snicker*) and din't go through their insurance, so of course there wouldn't be anything on a Carfax report.

this is proof that when buying a new ride, it's always best to bring an objectionable friend to view it as well, 'cause they'll look past the joy of a shiney new toy, to potentially see any flaws or issues. at least thats what you hope they would do for you. i swear to this day (but i'm slowly accepting the fact i may be wrong.....it was 16 years ago after all...) when i bought my first Dart, that it had a black vynil roof on it. but when i went to pick up the car from the guys house, it was orange, just like the rest of the car!

Well it really wasnt that bad, and the local estimate of 6k was kinda high, and he probably would have made about 2-3k easily.

But I replaced the rad support, rad, ac condenser, and it looks pretty decent, and we kinda had to wiggly the fenders a bit to get the gaps back to about normal, but one sits a little high and the other sits a little back, but Right now I am unsure if I want to replace them myself as I have no idea how much of a hassle it will be

UPDATE**

So sent a list of needed items to my parents for christmas .... cant wait...
Also found a 98 white 4 door 4wd Solid Axle Swapped Blazer for sale near me
says:
a 1998 chevy blazer, customized lift about 12-14 inches it would make a good trail rider, mudder or whatever you like, it's as narrow as jeeps so its not all crazy wide, it has a Dana 30 straight axle out of a 93 cherokee, 37x13.50x17 pro comp x-terrains all balanced, crager soft 8 wheels 17x8, 2 inch wheel spacers al around, ford f250 super duty springs in the back and rancho jeep springs in the front, fabricated high steer bracket, All the lights and everything works correctly as would in a regular blazer, needs a front drive shaft and the front gears changed out so ratios are the same. (This is a customized truck) Any resonable offers are considered serious inquires only please

Interesting find... can you post the link so we can get a peek?

What did he say he was using for a rear end in that thing? Did he say which running gear needed to be swapped, or was it both? 37's and it's "narrow" as a cherokee. This sounds like a giant tracker or sidekick. I would like to see it.

Well short update...
Tow hooks off.. not near as bad looking as Sisk's were, but still bothersome and an eye sore without the bumper on (lol@ Sisk)

Sanded them and realized that I cant find the paint so that will wait... ordering the shroud pieces tonight (upper and lower shrouds for the rad unless anyone here has something to donate lol)

And now pricing out the hoods.... would it be safe to run it for a few days (garaged at night) without a hood?

I know all the cops on a first name basis and my father is an alderman and on the police council (woot for a town of 3000 people)

EDIT*
Picked up the shrouds for 40 total

Newest Update***

Got the new shroud in and ready to put in until we realized it is a three piece shroud, and I only bought the upper and lower parts... now we cant find the other part for sale anywhere....

But I tore out the rusty battery tray and began to remove the rust, and will paint it when its a bit warmer along with the tow hooks
