Well the CB being in the dash kills the engine so I am aborting it for now. Im just using a smaller cobra in the backseat for now. wierdest thing ever, ha ha, oh well!

Glad I got the easy-over on the antenna now!
I tried the power on both the aux port and a piggyback splitter i have that has USB. funny thing is that all my radios (3) will do it if plugged into the power but my cobra DX 19 IV will stop doing it if i move it into the backseat unplug the ext speaker and plug it in through the splitter. ha ha.
I went to radio shack and got some ferrite cores, I'll try them on the power wires.

You can see here how far out it sticks, and this is with the fact that I removed all the plastic in the dash between the radio and the vents/wires. might just be to close having the antenna buried in the dash wire harness.

It is definitely not a small radio!
