actually it was ruts... theres like this little valley you go into and come out. but it was a little muddy and rutted. it was wierd cause all the ruts were zig zagged so i couldnt get enough speed to get out it would just slam you back and forth. and it was on the easy trail to so naturally im beating the heck out of the truck trying to get out.

well, i hope you bring a welder, 'cause i foresee a few broken drag links, tie rods, pitmans in the future. but then you wouldn't be havin' fun, would we?
As far as ripping fender flares off-Youd be surprised where you can hang a tree

As for the frame ripping and broken draglinks/pitman arms or whatever , the frame aint gotta be strong to hold an orbital valve.LOL

okay so i got my brakes done and everything, was ready to take her for a spin and do final tweaks to the alignment, but she wouldnt turn over. brand new battery, fully charged.. cranked slow and died after one turn. it was running earlier and just shut off out of nowhere. could it be something in the ignition/distibutor?

Battery or starter connections. Check all grounds and stuff. No it isnt in your ignition/dizzy. You can completely unplug all ignition components and pull the dizzy out and hold it in your hand and it should still spin over strong

Ok , first things first. I work in auto repair and I get this alot. Im not insulting your intellegence , so dont take this the wrong way, but Im gonna break it down so I can understand what you mean here.

Turning over- means the engine is turning over but NOT running
Cranking and spinning over means the same thing

Run means run.

So what Im understanding you to say is , It WAS running and died out of nowhere. And now , with a hot battery its having a hard time Cranking/turning/spinning over?

First thing is to find out why it is cranking slow. Which is why I told you the dizzy has nothing to do with it. CHeck your battery/ground connections on the engine and chassis. Make sure your starter connections are tight and free from corrossion. Your gonna have to get it to spin over fast enough to run before you diagnose the reason it died. And yes if you have a sh!tty ground to the engine , it could die out of no where because it would loose ground to the ignition/ECM at some point. Work on getting it spinning over fast enough to run and then tell me what you find.

Im sorry to sound condesending , but I have to do this with customers all the time because they get simple terminology confused and in turn confuse the pizz out of me.

Yea if its slowly cranking you probably have a bad ground... Also what i did when i built my k30. I forgot to run the fat wire from the starter to the battery. Alls it had was that smaller like 10 gauge going to it. It cranked slow and started smoking
