that axle you just posted in the rear is that the fullsize axle your using? it only has 5 lugs. a k5 blazer front is gonna have 6.

yeah im gonna be running two different sets of rims for now. not one of the major problems right now..

got holes drilled for leaf spring bolts, gotta weld on some plated for strength tonight. prob gonna start ripping aprt front after since i gotta wait for longer u bolts to come in. anyone have an opinion on what leafs to run in front, i got three options :
super duty front leafs
jeep yj leafs
toyota 4 inch lift leaf pack
ill prob mix and match to get a height close to the back

im running jeep yj leafs with a full size truck helper leaf and it rides perfect up front

I believe you can just swap axle shafts to get the 6 lugs

ill have to see how many leafs i can get a hold of from my buddy's jeep and go from there..
and i have the 6 lug axleshafts so ill look into that

This things going to ride reallllll rough. I like the build-a-leaf idea though, very inventive

You havnt said what axles youre running though...so we cant really discuss shaft swaps?

Edit: Just saw the other post...10 bolt from the K5..gotcha. I dont know much about that axle...but I would think there would be a little more to it than simply swapping shafts? Spline counts, shaft size, etc? Dunno though...keep posting pics and info!

i hope these can be of some assistance. good luck on the build! And the leafs up front truck rides like a dream. blazers are way to soft up front stock. my opinion..

got my crossmember in place, 5x5 square tubing, 3/16 inch thick
pics tomorrow in daylight
welding tomorrow, also cutting gussets and the rear hanger box out as well
thanks for those pics, kinda same idea as mine will be
i going with ford super duty springs from a turbo diesel... hello lift, haha
boggers on the way

rained today so couldnt weld..
got gussets and front hangers cut and clamped in place, shooting for tomorrow afternoon to weld everything in.
also still trying to figure out what to do with the backside of the front spring, couple ideas running through my head on how to box out the frame as easy, but as solid, as possible. any ideas ?
