Rough Country 2.5" Lift!!!!
i just bothers me because i have a weird sound coming from my psg and im almost 90% sure that its my cv axle binding up when going over dips in the road. but since getting it aligned today its gotten a little better. when i jack the truck up and let the suspension drop, i can spind the driver side wheel but i cant spin the psg side. but if i jack the psg control arm up 1/2" i can spin the wheel fine. i dunno if im missing something or what. im a licensed lic mechanic and having a troubles figuring this one out.
hmmmm...........maybe i shall check them out as i did just have the whole suspension apart and i did question those bushings. but when calling around to local part stores no one carried them or had a clue wtf i was talking about lol. when you say play in cross member which way do you think the pay would be up/down side to side. cuz i have play front to back but the way the top bushings are designed it looks like that would be normal. tho i dont know much about these trucks im a diesel mechanic by trade.
up and down
the stock bushings are rubber
they came out with a new better type of bushing for the cross member that i will soon upgrade both sides my self on my rig since one of mine is on its way out
these are the new improved versions of them

thats what i thought too but i measured from the ground to the center bottom of the fender on both sides and they were the same. to get my measurement difference of 1/2" i actually crawled under my vehicle and took the measurement at the the cv going into the diff/axle tube to the ground.
You want to measure from a fixed spot on the rim instead of using the ground when measuring height. That way you take any possible tire under inflation/over inflation/etc out of the equation.
i had a tbar tweak before i installed this lift and the ride was rough, rode like a bag of bricks. with the lift installed and aligned properly its alot better than before a little stiffer than stock but not as bad as a fully cranked tbar. plus it "should safe the front end from wearing out parts" but only time will tell. ive only being riding on this kit for 3 days but have had it since before xmas.
Yup. Ripped ANOTHER CV. Getting it fixed by Rough Country and then selling it and getting a GMC fullsize. Im not dealing with this anymore. It seems that everyone has problems with this kit- even their test blazer has problems with it. Screw it all...just done with faulty products.
