I'm surprised that you didn't have to rotate the Cs on the front differential. Got any pics of the interior with the shifter? What are you referring to on the transmission not shifting while in low range? Do you mean that the trans isn't shifting at all or? I believe that there is a wire that needs to have a momentary ground to enable the trans to use another set of line pressures, etc. in order to compensate for the TC, is this what you mean? I can look it up for you if that's what you're needing.

Thanks DonL, It's been fun finally driving the thing!
Appreciate it Hess. Definately going to borrow your design for the light bar mount. Need to start adding a few more lights for wheeling up on the mountain. Definitely don't want to go over the edge on the way back down. Would make for a bad day lol

Yes, I am referring to the transmission not shifting while in low range 4wd. I think i finally found which ground it may be but if you have that information that would be great as well. I will take pictures of the shifter for you if you like. I got the set up out of a 95-97 manual shift s10/blazer. If you ever do it, make sure you get a cable that has the bushing in good shape and just pop the one off the shifter/leave the shift bracket to the t-case alone. The bushings for a jeep 231 will not work with the blazer cables. Found that out the hard way attempting to make it work.

Ok, from what I've found in my notes, the yellow wire from the 231 shifter is 4LO. Ground the 4LO position and run a length or wire from the yellow 231 shifter wire to the correct wire on the ECU harness in the passenger side kick panel.

IT really wasn’t much. I just took my dreamel and slowly made the hole bigger until it fit right. A boot of some sort would be nice to fill in the empty space. I’ll grab those pictures for you when I get home from work today. As for the hole in the body for the cable shifter, I think that was partially indented where it needed to go, but getting a drill in there is tight. Luckily I have a plasma cutter that made it cake. And then I just used self taping screws to mount everything.

So nothing else of the shifter needs connecting right because it’s just a ground? And the harness you’re speaking of would just be the transfer case control module on the passenger side? I’ll get pictures of that too and post them up when I get it done and report the results.

I actually deleted it all with the 2 dr Blazer tank I fit in where the spare used to be. Had to modify that whole area for the triangulated 4 link and shock hoops in the back cargo area. But you could possibly move it up some. Can’t remember how much slack was in those lines.
