And I thought I'm hard on my stuff! DO NOT ride in a vehicle with no top even with a cage and the proper belts in it unless it's a properly engineered cage. Those rocks have a nasty habit of getting between the tubing and that could be all she wrote for ya. Try to find yourself a 2 door if you can, they'll give you better approach angles, one without a sunroof. Glad you didn't get hurt dude.

I’ll post up pics when I dig into it. Prob gonna get as much work done as I can this weekend and get it to a shop to have a cage built up. I’m thinking of getting one of those hydraulic rams from harbor freight to help straighten some things. I’d do the cage myself but still no garage of my own or tubing bender to be able to get it done and want to get back out wheelin!

I would probably cut the roof off and weld the roof from the "new" one on. Use the "new" doors, hood, windshield, etc., and you're back to a straight body. And, as a bonus, you can build the cage before you weld the roof on, since it's a huge PITA to do it inside (don't ask me how I know).

But as of now I’m thinking this could happen again in the future so just thinking about cage and getting it so the roof is better than it is lol the og roof will prob just serve as an extra defense against rocks in a rollover. Then I’m thinking of building tube doors for it kind of like the old yj half doors with a canvas skin I can snap on to it to keep a little rain/water out

Thats kind of a cool idea! Tube is pretty cheap though. Only 35 bucks for 20’ of 1.5” .120 wall. Just need someone with a bender lol

Good call, I wouldn't waist the carrier as a door anyways, maybe copy it. But I know too many people who would buy the carrier, and that would cover the cost of materials and a case of beer! Lol.
Have you thought about pining the pipe, and finding something solid and round, the size of your band? Go old school ways lol.
