Just ordered the 120 leds. I figured I'd get a few extra for future projects.
I also decided to start doing my door speakers correctly.
This is how I mounted them when I got them. Thanks to alton I know that is a terrible way to mount them.

Here's the rough cutout of the baffle.

The speaker fits perfect.

I just need longer screws to mount it and see how many clearance issues I end up with.

So here's the end result of the drivers side speaker baffle. It seems to handle the bass with a bit more composure. I tried to use some rope caulk to seal the wood and speaker but the kind I got has some plastic decorative trim, so I'll need to find something else seeing as the door mirror really likes to dance now.
I finished the pass side speaker baffle today and also got a package in the mail with lots of resistors and 6 plastic bulb bases that I will be using to wire up the PWM for the tails instead of hacking into the harness.
I also got some chromed turn signal bulbs for the front because I hate the orange look the reflectors have with the amber bulbs in there.
Here's how the stock bulbs look when they are turned off.

And the chrome bulbs.

And of course, the chrome bulbs still put out amber light.
Oh, and the HPWTs will be here on monday! I can't wait!

Well I got some goodies 3 days early.

Now I just have to unsolder 40 leds and 20 surface mount resistors, and try to remove the solder as best I can to mount these bad boys. It'll be quite a pain, and the main reason I initially ordered the unsoldered kit in the first place.

So I started soldering tonight and got all but 4 leds for one side wired up and connected but I stopped due to the fact that I'm blowing 2 leds in the middle of one of the strips. I couldn't figure it out so I decided I'd take a break and see if I can figure it out tomorrow or the next day.
On a side note, I do believe these will be a lot brighter.
