Ok so I just ordered on of these guys. Can you say 1900A?
In theory, it should fit in the trunk next to the stock battery. If not, I'll find somewhere for it.

So I got my new volt gauge today.
And here's a vid of how quick the thing refreshes. It's gotta be around every 1/10th of a second.
You can skip to about 35seconds into the vid before it actually hits with the bass.

I love watching the little 'needle' bounce back and fourth. It's actually the only way to see how low it actually gets because the numbers don't stay down there long enough to read.
I also had some time to seal up my headlights better with extra OCI butyl rubber to stop the fogging issues I've been having. I also added a pair of Bi-xenon decals.

Still getting fogging in the drivers side so I guess I'll be redoing that again.
I will say, however, that the sub puts a huge goofy grin on my face every time a heavy bass song comes on.
Here's one of my favs.
It's got a pretty constant 20-25hz note going through the whole song.

So I got this in today.
And installed.
I must say that the 1/0 wire is some big stuff. Not to mention it's pretty expensive. The stuff I got was from an audio shop here in town and it was $9 per foot. If I want to do the big 3 in 1/0 I'll have to find it cheaper online somewhere.

So I finally got my 3rd brake light retro done today.
And of course, my problem child I haven't gotten around to fixing yet.
I'm also planning on doing a custom led dome light using about 35 Cree P4s

nice, are you regulating the power for the 3rd brake light?

No... I should though. It's soo nice to not worry about the outside lights dimming with my bass. The new batt. helps a ton, but there is still the drop from alt. operating voltage to batt. voltage.
I'm also wondering if there is an ammeter on my neg terminal wire to monitor how much power is being drawn from it. There's a small black ring around it with a wiring harness attached which looks a lot like the clip on ammeters that are floating around for measuring current without needing a shunt resistor and breaking the circuit.
If that is what that is, I might have to run my second neg. batt. wire through it instead for better measurement.
I did have the pleasure of having a Cobalt SS guy checking out the tails tonight though. That felt pretty good.

So I came home from a s***** day at work to find this today.
I parked it on the street for the first time last night and when I got home today (I rode the bike) I noticed this and a note on the windshield with a phone # saying to call for insurance info. I park by the curb ONE TIME and this is what I get. Stupid people, I'll give them a call tomorrow.
