Spring time blazer rebuild UK
#1
Well weather here in North Scotland improving a tad so decided to take the plunge and start the repairs and clean up of my 2001 Blazer
This is going to include the following (at least I know of !!!!) :-
Refurbish ALL brake calipers.
Replace ALL metal brake lines.
Replace rubber brake flex's with Stainless braided.
Refurbish brake components and new pads all round and new parking brake shoes.
New bottom ball joints..top good.
New anti roll bar bushes.
N/S rear axle has a small amount of lateral play so need to get into rear axle and check...replacing oils when there.
After I check front steering components might have a bit of replacement there !!
Looking to replace the rear shackles and go for a bit lift at the same time..
Work on front arms to lift to align with rear above.....
New front and rear shocks.
Once thats finished I will then look at new rubber for the wheels...can go for more off rader pattern with lift planned
Full wire brush etc and repaint / underseal underside including axles and chassis etc
So far with decent weather today removed all front rear brake components and front suspension arms etc ........
Heres for the rest
Would love to know of decent suppkiers that might offer decent prices and ship to UK or a "nice member" who would buy and send to me.....with up front payment of course
