Okay I値l have to put some thought into that one. Now since the S10 PCM controls the transmission, if I end up reusing the S10 PCM and do the repinning and reprogramming and what not, will it still control my transmission?

I know there are probably plenty of threads showing how to re-pin the S10 ECM to accept the V8 but I知 having trouble finding them. Can someone link them?

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you have to repin anything pertaining to the trans control. Both the 4.3 and the 5.3 can use the same 411 computer and control a 4L60E trans, so I don't see why you would have to change anything having to do with their communication.

Now what do I do about the oil filter? Do I search for an adapter to hook up the oem ZR2 lines?

Have been doing a little more research. Will the 4L60E from my 4.3 bolt up to my 5.3? Am I going to need the flex plate adapter??
