Ah now I get it lol... wife wont let me do that in her truck, that's what I got the blazer for lol....

When I first met her, she had the exact same truck, but in black. So she extremely happy with it lol.

shes decided to call it her "Purple People Eater". So she wants to paint the whole truck purple, with green accents, I'm thinking like a chameleon paint. But that will require test paints and research lol...

Got the fiberglass tonneau cover on. Picked up some random lift supports from the store, the only one they had a pair of but they are holding great and fit just about perfect. Very happy with it.

There are so many of these gas-struts...

...I'll have to calculate one to hold a cover but have not yet had the time to do so. Easy math. Lever and angles, but the change of angle and thus lever will determine on how good it closes or opens and at which point it will slam shut.

Glad your's worked out fine - not nice to get that cover on your head when pulling stuff from the back.

No it sucks lol... I had a broom stick holding it up before I got the supports... let me tell you it didn't feel hood lol... so far so good... I think they were made for something a little heavier, they lift the cover by itself almost when you open it enough...

With that long a cover it sounds like a perfect fit. And more practical if it opens with just lifting it a little bit. Consider having your hands full, a push with the elbow an it open. Cool.

So the other day(week maybe month?), the drivers side window track came undone.

I haven't gotten the door skin off to look, but I'm assuming that the track or a roller came undone, as I can see the motor moving up and down instead of the window...

So its been wedged in place for a bit... and with the snow... I gotta get it fixed now lol

Small update...

wife was complaining about crackling speaker, so for my bday just before christmas, I got a set of 4x6 and 6.5 kicker speakers... 45% off New so got a couple for the blazer too...

Finally got around to installing them along with my xplod deck from the blazer. I had to get a new one with Bluetooth as my new phone does not have a headphone jack...

Sorry no pics...

Edit:

Got the window half fixed, got one bar on track, but the front of the window still doesn't follow, so reading up in the gm books to see what it says about the tracks lol

LOL - window mechanism nightmare...

Been there, done that on the Alfa Romeo.
Took me the better of 3 hours to figure out how it works. Another couple of hours to make all parts behave as they should, disassemble, clean, grease, re-assemble.
Another 2 hours to figure how the whole mechanism is supposed to work in the car, how to route the cable over the pulleys and such.
And another 1 hour to put the first one together. The second one was a 15 minute issue.

Window stuff is cleverly made levers, cables, pulleys but they need to be exactly where they should, else it will not work properly.
Also have a look at all the rubber parts and channels. May need a good wash. In a friends car we had a window which would roll up halfway and then block only in the front part.
Turned out to be a little rock that had found it's way into the rubber guide and would roll up just so far before wedging itself in.

Not much has been happening. Too cold for me... average -10°C.

But there's some updates:

front rotors and pads are getting done, passenger side was metal on metal and no one told me. Went to work Monday morning and found that out, luckily I took backroads at 60km, neutral and coasting to stops as much as possible to use as little brakes as possible got me home.

Ordered a y pipe from summit racing, was told it got shipped today, so that will be going in asap, and the cat gutted.
