I want your opinion on what you think is the best wax.

I hand wax and polish only andIhave tried various Meguiar's cleaner wax, fine cut cleanerand polish products as well asTurtle Wax ICE on my black Blazer with similar results. I was not impressed with either product.

Just out of curiosity, I purchased a 16 oz. bottle of Turtle Wax Color MagicT374KTR (black) and it is easy to apply and leave a excellent shine. I am sold on that product. The Turtle Wax Chip Stick that comes withColor Magicdoes a fair job on minor paint chips and "Arizona Pinstripes."I preferthe little Dupli-Color repair paint kit for paint chips.I apply Color Magic with a throw away sponge pad and remove the hazewith a micro-fiber towel when it is completely dry. The I rub it out with the micro-fiber towel for a few more strokes.

Turtle Wax offers Color Magic and Color Curein black, silver, white, tan-gold, red, green and blue although I have never seen it it anything but red and black. I have found that Turtle Wax Color Magicwill be a special order at "some"retailers who carry Turtle Wax products. For example, O'Reilly'sand Autozoneoffer Turtle Wax Color Magic in black only and it is a special order. I have never seen any Turtle Wax Color Magic on the shelf of any parts store. Apparently that is because it is not as popular with the hand-wax and polish crowd. It is messy to use if you are not careful and it may create aproblem if you cleanyour micro-fiber towels and spongepads in your washing machine. When usingColor Magic, Iusethe towels and pad until they become saturatedwith the product and then toss them in the trash.Turtle Wax Color Magicalso comes inwhat is called Turtle Wax "Color Cure." I do not know what the difference is between the two products may be. I haveboughtsix 16 oz. bottles of Turtle Wax Color Magic T374KTR (black) because whenever I start likeing something, it is not around for long.

Stayaway from the high pressure car wash whatever car care product you use unless you like to wax and polish your car.

They are updating the site, but this is a wonderful carnuba. Three coats and the shimmer is fantastic!!

Pinnicle is great, too.

My personal favorite for a sealer is what they use at the Corvette Museum:

I like the new Meguires NXT tech wax (2.0). When I wash the fleet I'll usually use the NXT paste wax in between detailings, and when I detail the fleet I use the liquid NXT followed by Adam's buttery wax. When I am done, they all shine like they just rolled off the show room floor!

I always go with the Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax

easy on, easy off and a good shine (and it smells good too)

But to be fair it's the only wax I've used so far

I would stay away from canauba-based products. The reason is that they only last between 4 & 8 weeks.

Carnauba comes from the Cerifera tree. It is dull and brittle. Pure carnuaba is grey in color. Most wax products on the market are typically blended (beeswax & paraffin). All of these waxes start to melt and evaporate around 185 degrees. Paraffin melts at 130 degrees. Dark colored cars can reach a surface temperature exceeding 200 degrees in the summer.

Synthetics have a much higher melting and evaporation point.

My Blazer is a work-horse. It needs all the protection it can get.

Guys Check out Formula 113, I have been using it for over 10 years, it lasts very very long, and there is just not enough words on how great it is. check out the site http://www.formula113.com/Product_line/f113carwax.html

I've only ever used Mother's Cleaner Wax with Carnuba in it... Nice shine to it, I waxed it about 2 weeks before the the ROTM during september, and the water still beads like a duck and it still shines nice.
