Any questions hit me up. I did this same swap 6 years ago with a 5.3 from a 99 silverado in my 98 blazer.

 

well the engine is finally in but am in the middle of sorting out the wiring. Any chance of underhood wiring diagram or the 98 ecm pinout?

Everything was going good last week until on my way home wednesday..i wrecked my baby

 

needless to say ..that slowed my progress down a bit on the swap.. but hopefully i can get the wiring done tonight and maybe start the 5.3 up woot

 

Wow, that sucks. Seems like a going thing with anything to do with a big build. You get 3.4 of the way to finished and some kind of wreck happens.

OHH YEAH..JUST TO LET ANY FUTURE SWAPPERS KNOW..THE STARTER IS DIFFERENT ON THE 5.3...just another needed part if your donor doesnt come with one like mine did!
