Whats everyones running temp or the coolant/engine in the 4.3?

what temperature thermostat did you put in it?

Mine has run a tick higher then quarter since I got it. Changed the T-stat and didnt change. I did notice the other day that it did go up to the half way mark for a few seconds then dropped back to quarter. Im going to change the coolant temp sensor and see if it makes a difference. My other car's temp guage was doing the same thing. Changed the temp sensor and it fixed the problem.

Mine sits on the line in the middle of the 100-210 marks. If its hot it goes up one of the little marks. But then comes right back to the quarter tank mark.
I wish my scan tool would read the Chevy. It refuses to read it. It didnt like my 95 Blazer either.

so our trucks are suppose to be running around 200 to 210 right? i havnt done anything but put an alum. rad. in my truck and since then, she has been running at the 1/4 make. is this bc of the new rad and would a new therm fix this?

My 1995 S10 Blazer runs at 210

just curious, what would the temperature be at that first quarter mark? anyone know?
#47
It all depends on the stated temperatures at the extent of the gauge. Most temperature gauges are a uniform scale between their indicated values. In the case of the '95-'97 dash, the temperature displayed goes from 100 to 210 so, at the 1/2 way mark between these two values, the temperature should be somewhere near 155. Confirmation with a scan tool would be required if you really want to know what it is.
