Whats up everybody?
I just got a 2002 ZR2 Blazer which I am absolutely loving so far.
Just have a question for you pros out there.
Tried doing some searching but was having trouble finding the answer I was looking for.
I noticed that in my year(02) the power rating on this 4.3 was 190HP/250ftlbs
However, the rating for the 03-05 4.3 was 195HP/260ftlbs
I know the fuel injection spider got upgraded in 03 but what else was changed to up the power slightly?
I heard that around that time frame they put in a different cam to smooth things out.
Anybody know what year that was?
Hopefully somebody can help me shine some light on this subject.

The new LU3 engine had both the MPFI and the new cam - model year was 2003. I believe the rating was up 10 to 200HP. Also no EGR

 

So the difference was the new fuel spider and the new cam in 03?
