04 Blazer 4x4 RPM's
What are the normal RPM ratios when shifting? I think my RPM's are running higher than usual when tranny shifts.
Idles at 500, then seems to run up to 1500 for 1st and just past 2200 for 2nd. After 2nd gear, it seems to reduce back to 1200-1500. For some reason, it seems to be running higher and sounding different than normal.
Any suggestions?

Of course shifting rpm will be determined by how much right foot you put into it, but those numbers look pretty normal.
*EDIT* After watching my tach, it appears that all my upshifts occur between 1900 and 2500 rpm depending on the gear, so yours may be shifting at low rpm for some reason.

Thanks....
I need to take it on the highway to see where it runs at high speed. City speeds of 35-45 has the RPM's at around 1200-1500 steady, then dropping as I brake.
