Default 1997 Blazer transmission completely gone??

I'm sure I already know the answer, but figure I would make sure. I have a 97 Blazer 4x4 with 190,000 miles. When I bought it, it had 174000, and the transmission had just been rebuilt. Since getting it I had the shift solenoids replaced by a shop. Yesterday I drove it down the road and when I stopped and took off I was getting a slight grinding noise and some jerking. It then took off and drove fine, When I stopped again, I got the same thing, but this time it would not move. All gears were lost including reverse. After checking the fluid which was fine, I tried it again and it moved a couple feet then lost everything again. I know the transmission is probably shot, but not being a mechanic, I am just trying to confirm this. Never seen one go that fast.

Have these problems gotten worse since your August 2008 post discussing issues with your transmission?

If so, then I would say a complete rebuild is in order.

The problem before was a shift solenoid had both replaced at a shop and it has been fine since then.

Was your current problem an instantaneous one or did it slowly get worse?

It just went out all at once. No warning signs until a few minutes before. When I stopped and took off, I got a clunk and a jerk. When I stopped again it did not take back off.

Definitely sounds like one of the hard parts in the transmission went.
