Default 4l60e to 700r4 How do I?

I bought a tranny for my 94 s10 blazer 4.3 vortec. the tranny came out of a 90 s10 blazer with the 4.3. I got it used and took the chance. Well my tranny is the electronically controlled one and the one I bought is the mechanical version. Anyone know how to make this thing work? I have no vehicle now and have no doe to get another tranny. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Install it!

you will need to install a TV Cable. The cable goes from the trottle linkage down to the tranny and controls the tranny shifts.

you could be able to wire up the Torque converter lock up using the current wires. You will need to figue out which one is for TTC and make the connetion. You may need a new harness on the tranny end so it plugs in, should be able to get that off the donor truck the tranny came from.

Google 4L60E to 700R4 conversion.

Unfortunately I don't have the truck that the 700r4 came out of. I do have the detent(kick down) cable though. so thats not a problem. my problem is figuring out wich 3 wires to hook up to the 3 wires on the 700r4. What is TTC? Will my speedo still work after this or will I have to rig something up? Thanks for the info I appreciate your time.

If your throttle body doesn't have a place to hook the cable to then you can get a "holley 20-40" kit at your friendly local autoparts stores.

Speedo? Is yours a 4wd? Then speedo is on the transfercase and it'll still work.

Wires? The harness will be lettered. you need 12V to A lead.I doubt you can hook to the original harness and have it work because without all the wires hooked up it will trigger codes (but what do you care, you just want it to work, right), with codes the ECM wont command the tcc on.

You could wire up a switch to provide ground to the D lead on the harness, or change the wiring inside the pan to provide TCC anytime in 3rd or maybe even 4th.
