Default RE: 700R4 fluid capacity?

Dry capacity with a shallow pan should be around 11qts. Deep pan will be around 12 qts. If you have an addon cooler, it could be close to 13qts.

If you are doing a pan drop & filter change, take off 5-6qts from those values for what is held in the torque converter and internals of the transmission.

If you are doing a DIY flush by disconnecting the stock cooler line and running the engine to pump out the old fluid and filling back in through the dipstick tube, then you will want to have double the capacity on hand due to mixing in the pan. If you do a pan drop and filter change first, then you only need to have 1.5x the fluid on hand.
