Default 95 Blazer Transmission Issue

When I try to put my blazer in drive it doesn't move at all just the rpms rise. It's seems as if it's not going into gear, but still works when put into reverse. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

First check fluid level and condition of fluid(burnt, black red, oder) If that checks out my guess would be planetary gears or burnt forward clutch pack. Let us know what you find.

The fluid is black and reads that it's hot when it's been sitting for over a day so there is no way it can be. I was thinking it could be the torque converter.

Time to replace or rebuild the transmission. I know not what you want to hear. Make sure to flush or have the cooler lines and cooler flushed before putting transmission back in. Good luck.
