Default 96 chevy s10 blazer fuel pressure issue

I have a 96 s10 with 90k. A few months ago started to have hard start problem. Checked fuel pressure and it was 56. When engine started, with a few recycle pump key turns, later when warm no problem restarting. When vehicle sits for longer than a day or it is cold outside it started hard. Now will not start and pressure will go up to 50 or 52 if re-engerize a few times but will not start. I am fearful this is a pump in tank replacement problem but was hopeful lit could be a fuel pressure regulator under intake. I bought a upgrade spider with injectors but have not installed yet. Vehicle is in driveway on slight hill so whatever I do it will be a outside project. I am looking for some guidance oh how to proceed. If forum thinks pump what brand recommend. thanks in advance. jim
