Just wanting some input on a noise i'm hearing. I bought this bravada for $500 that needed a wheel hub and sway bar link, among some slight body damage to the trim. I fixed the hub and sway bar and took it for a ride. Only a 5 mile drive and I did hit the throttle good a couple of times to see what it could do but it didnt red line or anything. Temp stayed good. But as i got near my driveway i heard a slight knocking noise, and went to pull in my driveway. As i pulled in and rpm's went to idle my oil pressure dropped to 0 for a second then went back up and now there is a knocking noise from the motor. I've started it up again to listen to the noise and it almost sounds like it's comeing from the center of the engine or the back driver side. Isnt that bad at idle but when you rev it after it levels out at the higher rpm it gets real loud. Then on the way back to idle is a quieter knock. It strikes me as strange that under a load the knock is almost gone. Thought it was supposed to be the other way around? Or is that what a rod knock sounds like and am i just losing it?

 

Now there is a metallic squeaking noise towards the back of the motor along with the knock. Any help apriciated. I have read some stuff about balance shaft bearings, think it my be it
