Default Accelerator Hesitation

Good morning all,

I have a problem that has stumped two different mechanics, and hope that maybe the community can answer.

I have a 2000 Trailblazer with about 130k. I just bought it in January, and it recently developed an odd problem. About once a week, when I try to accelerate, the engine will almost seem to die out. It will barely remain running, and almost backfires. All I have to do is shut off the vehicle off and start it up again, and it runs normally for about another week.

No codes have popped up, and I have replaced the MAF sensor. The mechanics I have brought it to can't seem to find anything wrong because it does it so erratically.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

fuel pressure leak down test should be the first thing you try to do. do a search and you will find out all the specifics but you need t know, post back results when finished
