Default Alternator bracket 350

hey!
so i'm in the middle of my 350 swap in my 86 4x4 s10 blazer and i had a question about my alternator bracket
as you can see in the second picture there is a arm with a fork in it that comes off the bracket and heads towards my intake but there is nowhere to bolt it to the intake. i was wondering if the bracket would have enough strength as is or should i modify it so that the arm attaches to the intake in some way. it feels quite stong right now like i can barely budge it when pushing quite hard but i've heard of them bending while at high rpms so i just want to be sure

There is no need for it to mount on the intake , I have used this small chrome bracket as seen here for years and have never lost a belt and I twist er to 7500 RMP's ...
If you want to make it look better just cut that piece off or buy a chrome one ..

No problem , I think you'll find that once it's in you will change allot of stuff around , at least I did ...
I got all the brackets from the junk yard as the 2.8 ones were different than the V8 ones but then it slowly became a show truck and I changed all that out to chrome or aluminum ...
Good luck with your project as I had fun with mine and the truck goes like hell , you have no idea how much fun it is to blow a Mustang away at the lights with my tires being bigger than his car , just luv it

This was my first engine ( 1991) , one of the first to put a V8 in an S10 :

Then I just had to cut a hole in the hood and went with a 383 stroker :

I think you will find that you change allot of things , I went through about 4 different tire sizes to from the stock P235 to 31's , then 33's then 35's then 36 Cepeks that are on it now ...
It just never stops !
Now I have this little black ZR2 and my wife says " Oh No, Not Again"

Again , Good Luck with it !!
