I have a 95 chevy blazer that is driving me crazy. It started last year as a miss and has turned into a nightmare. First I tried new plugs and wires. no luck, so here come the list of what has been done between different mechanics and even a chevy dealership.
cap
button
distributor
coil
the spider was leaking so it was replaced
upper and lower intake
map sensor
air valve
computer
fuel pump
ignition module
engine was smoked and no vacuum leaks found.
compression tested on all cylinders 125+
valves working correctly
the engine misses very bad when cold and as it warms up it lessens. never goes away. All plugs dry when removed. code is for cylinder one misfire. and 02 sensor efficiency below threshold. I am at my wits end with this. Any suggestions???

It's possible that you have a valve guide problem. I have seen a missfire condition on some blazers and astro vans where the valve guides were worn and causing a missfire.
The repair is not cheap as the heads need to go to a machine shop for repair.

I'm assuming by button you mean rotor? if not, you should look into that... fuel filter...
Get your o2 sensors tested, and maybe your cat. as well... I can't remember if your year has a Crank Position Sensor, but if it does, get that looked at too...

Everyone keeps saying rotor button, what part is actually the rotor?

Sorry I went on vacation so I haven't been able to reply. The o2 sensors were also replaced as well as the crank sensor. Not sure about the valve guides I know that the valve covers were off to check for valve movement but the guides themselves I don't know. The good thing is that while on vacation I found a 2000 chevy blazer/trailblazer with 88,000 miles for sell and I bought it. So at least I have a ride in the meantime

Back to something constructive.....have you checked the ground straps on the engine.....it's just a thought, but you should make sure that all the ground cables are clean and tight.
battery to engine
engine to chassis
battery to body
It doesn't ever hurt to add some redundant ground wires either, I would put one from body to chassis as well.

I'm wondering if the timing gears and chain are out of whack. It's been very frustrating to say the least

I'm still thinking that the valves guides are the problem but that's not a cheap repair and the only way you'll know for sure is to take the heads off and into a machine shop.

iam thinking that you might have a bad cat converter, you can check this with a pressure trasnducer and a vantage pro or modis. compare both banks, shouldnt have more that 12psi if 30 your cat is plugged. either way you should remove it, install a o2 simulator, and problems gone.
