Auto 4x4
I was curious as to whether or not it was possible to add the Auto 4x4 to a blazer not originally equipped with it. If I were to get the 4 button switch what else would I need? Maybe a transfer case and the pcm? is the wiring there on the harness in the vehicle and to the tx case? or is this completely impossible?
Yeah I had assumed they were, but I didnt know if there was more than that. Like does it still bolt up like my factory tx case without the A4WD? and would the wiring still be there or is that all different?
definateley not. Will my normal e button 4WD work the same if I have a 4 button switch in there? the lights on mine are out, and I have the A4WD switch from my old blazer and I know all the backlighting works in that
No, you cannot control the NV233 TCCM with a switch from an NV236 (4-button Auto4wd). The NV236 switch operates by using various resistors which the TCCM interprets via a voltage drop while the NV233 switch is a simple momentary switch for each button.
All I can say is that Auto-4X4 switch is an excellent feature that I use often out here in Calgary Alberta Canada during the winter. It works very well out here and has saved my *** more than once.
